Subject: EternaBond installations on roofs with trapped water.

When EternaBond is used to re-seam a roof where there is known to be trapped water that can/will turn into steam when the roof heats up, this can cause a adhesive failure.

THE SOLUTION:

Seal the seam with a moisture set sealant like Chem-Link M1.
Apply a light coating of EternaPrime to the seam surface. Make sure the primer is completely dry before applying the EternaBond tape.
Install the EternaBond tape as per standard installation instructions.

Please be aware that this installation will seal the trapped moisture under the roof surface. Consult with your waterproofing or roofing consultant for further instructions.
